Tarandeep Singh is a Postdoctoral Research Associate whose work centers on developing algorithms and software for large-scale volumetric 3D X-ray CT datasets. He builds AI/ML and computational modeling pipelines to segment plant roots from soil in high-resolution scans. Prior to this, he earned his Ph.D. at AcSIR–CSIO, India, in 2023, following an M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from GGSIPU, India; an M.Sc. in Informatics; and a B.A.Sc. in Electronics—both from the University of Delhi, India. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Bennett University, India, and as a Project Associate II at CSIR–CSIO, India. His interests span digital agriculture, computer vision, AI/ML, hyperspectral imaging, and biomedical/CT image analysis.
